At St Barnabas Hospice Inpatient Unit, we provide exceptional palliative and end-of-life care. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of healthcare professionals within a Consultant led unit, ensuring high-quality care for patients and their families. This exciting position gives the opportunity for a Registered Nurse to further develop their clinical leadership skills, supporting the current team with specialist palliative care and symptom management knowledge, managerial support and acting as a role model.

We welcome applications from candidates with current NMC registration and experience of Specialist Palliative Care, with the ability for day-to-day clinical leadership in a ward environment.

Ideally you will have experience of complex symptom management issues. This role will require the post holder to work clinically on the ward whilst supporting the management and leadership of the unit, working collaboratively with the Ward Manager and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team.
