We have an exciting opportunity to join our Shops team as a county-based Retail Area Manager. Working with the Head of Retail you will oversee a portfolio of St Barnabas charity shops enabling your team to deliver maximum profit while nurturing a positive and proactive working environment. As a strong role model, you will be responsible for creating a sense of independence, initiative and ownership of the staff for their shops focusing on professionalism, team spirit and cooperation, high standards and achieving financial goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Applications are welcome from candidates with GCSEs at grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent, plus an NVQ or equivalent in a retail/commercial, customer-led or fashion-based area would be desirable.
You will have a successful background of at least 5 years in retail preferably in the charity and/or commercial sector, and at least 3 years’ experience of remote people management. A passion for leading teams to achieve their goals is essential, so if you have proven financial success, KPI setting and monitoring, plus excellent people development and management experience then this is the job for you!
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time: 37.5 hrs per week
Salary: £25,949 per annum, (plus contributory pension scheme or continuation of NHS pension)
Buying and selling of annual leave and lease car schemes are options available to qualifying new employees.
