Improve your Physical Wellbeing
People with a life-limiting or terminal illness may find that completing activities or basic tasks, and maintaining independence can become more challenging.
To help combat this, we have physiotherapists and occupational therapists that can support you to maintain your independence and function in line with individual goals.
This can include:
- Improved pain management
- Reducing anxiety
- Management of breathlessness
- Improving sleep
- Managing fatigue
- Improvement in deteriorated function as a result of illness or treatment (e.g. surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy).
We also offer relaxation therapies including tai chi which can help with people’s physical symptoms, as well as support their mental health.
If you would like to discuss physical therapies and how they could help you, please ring our Palliative Care Coordination Centre on 0300 020 0694.
