Visitors are very welcome in the Inpatient Unit; we fully appreciate how important this is to the wellbeing of patients in our care.
To keep infection risks as low as possible, we ask that you avoid accessing the unit if you have any symptoms of acute respiratory illness, which are making you feel unwell, such as Flu. However, if you have been called in urgently or your loved one is end of life, we ask that you are mindful of handwashing and disposing of tissues
safely.
If possible, we ask that there are only 2 visitors at the bedside at any one time, however, if required, this can be discussed with the team, so we continue to support the needs of patients and families in the best way possible.
Children are welcome to visit the Hospice and there is a designated play area within the conservatory. Children must be supervised at all times. Your pets can also be brought in by prior arrangement with the nurse in charge.
Patients will continue to have access to iPads should you wish to have “virtual visits”, and these can be made available at any time.
