Hospice staff, volunteers, local choirs, music groups and students will be raising funds for St Barnabas Hospice this Christmas
On Saturday 11th December, from 10.30am – 3pm, St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice will be hosting their annual Christmas Sing-along outside St Benedict’s Church on Lincoln’s High Street.
There will be musical performances throughout the day from the Lincoln Choral Society, Cabra Singers, Hykeham High Notes, Harmony Lincs, Lincoln Concert Orchestra and students from the University of Lincoln Choir.
The local independent charity will also host a stall in St Benedict’s Square where last minute stocking fillers can be purchased.
Robert Steadman, Conductor for the Isle of Axholme Orchestra, said:
“Last year I was involved with the University Orchestra who came to take part and had a good time playing carols and helping a great local charity. This year I’m pleased to be bringing along some musicians from a couple of other local orchestras to help out. Music might not be able to change the world, but it can do its best to help.”
The popular Christmas fundraiser will help to fund the exceptionally specialist care the charity offers to more than 9,000 terminally ill patients a year.
