Join us at the Torchlight Procession, which sees over 1,000 people walk together to remember their loved ones.

The Torchlight Procession is an event unique to our hospice and our county, providing an opportunity for families and friends to join together in remembering those no longer with us.

The transfer of light throughout the event is symbolic; a flaming torch is carried by runners from St Barnabas Hospice’s Lincoln Inpatient Unit to Claytons Sportsground, where it is used to light the procession torches.

Once all torches are lit, the procession commences, led by the RAF Waddington Pipe Band. We will journey past the Inpatient Unit, pausing for a moment of reflection, before moving onto Lincoln Cathedral.

The event concludes with a service outside Lincoln Cathedral, where the Tree of Life will be illuminated. Participants are then encouraged to attach their Messages of Love to the tree railings.

Tree tags are available to purchase at the start of the procession. Food and drink will be available to purchase at Claytons Sportsground, including The Naughty Pig and The Very Cool Coffee Bus.

Please note, pre-booking is mandatory and tickets will be scanned on arrival.
