Hosting a quiz, whether in person, online, or as part of a larger event, is a simple and fun way to raise vital funds to support people in Lincolnshire living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses.

The Big Quiz is all about bringing people of all ages and abilities together to enjoy some friendly competition, test trivia skills, and make a real difference.
Whether you’re a small group of friends, a big team, or organising something in your workplace, you can take part your way – host it virtually, include it as part of a larger event, or keep it simple with a quiet night in.
Signing up is free and includes a quiz pack to make hosting stress-free and easy! We’ve written six rounds for you, from General Knowledge, TV and Films to Food and Drink. All you need is a confident quiz master.

2. Plan your quiz
Now it’s time to plan your event! Elect your quiz master, decide when and where you want to host your event, and set ticket prices for your quiz night.
There are lots of other ways for you to boost your fundraising total on the night of the quiz including a raffle and bonus games such as heads and tails.
3. Share your event
Spread the word and get people excited for your Big Quiz through social media, email, invitations, or simply word of mouth.
Share your donation page with friends, family, and colleagues or encourage donations on the big day. Every contribution adds up to make a real difference for local people when they need it most.
Why host a Quiz for St Barnabas?
By taking part in The Big Quiz, you’re helping us deliver expert care and comfort when it matters most. Every fundraiser, big or small, allows us to support 12,000 people across Lincolnshire each year – delivering dignified palliative and end-of-life care, free of charge.
Every pound you raise helps us provide care, comfort and dignity for patients and their families. For example:
- £22 could cover the cost of a nurse for one hour
- £50 could fund a session of one-to-one bereavement counselling
- £85 could pay for a two-hour visit to a patient in their own home
- £103 could allow a doctor to provide a personalised pain relief plan
- £115 could cover the cost of a staff nurse for one day
- £150 could pay for a patient in the Inpatient Unit for one day
