Collaboration with Rachel Green

Lincolnshire based chef Rachel Green is renowned for her culinary and hospitality skills. Rachel has years of experience as a chef believing that good, honest, locally sourced food doesn’t need to be messed around with too much to taste great.

Having lived in Lincolnshire her whole life, Rachel knows the work St Barnabas does across the county to help some of the most vulnerable families who need care and support the most.

To support Care for a Cuppa, Rachel has kindly provided a ‘fool-proof’ recipe created by her mother for an absolutely incredible addition to your Care for a Cuppa, the Fairburn’s Celebration Chocolate cake.

A big reason that we decided to take part in the Care for a Cuppa initiative was to bring together our community

We’ve all been touched by the amazing work of St Barnabas in some way, so it’s important to us to give something back. We never know when we may need the Hospice, so we like to fundraise and raise awareness so that more people across Lincolnshire can access the vital care and support that the Hospice provides. A big reason that we decided to take part in the Care for a Cuppa initiative was to bring together our community. After COVID-19, that core sense of community dwindled, so we thought it’d be a great way to bring our village and surrounding villages together over tea, cake and supporting a good cause. It is now something that the village looks forward to, and they come every year to support us. All you need is a lot of cake, a boiled kettle, and time for a chat!
