Bereavement Support Group at Lincoln Wellbeing Centre

Anyone affected by grief is welcome to join our Bereavement Support Groups. These supportive sessions provide an opportunity to chat and connect with others who have also been bereaved, in a friendly and welcoming environment.

What is a Bereavement Support Group?

They are a safe, comfortable, and friendly place where you can express your feelings and emotions. The group aims to help people navigate the complex emotions that come with grief, providing a safe environment to share experiences, listen, and find comfort among others who understand.

St Barnabas volunteers are there to listen and can help you deal with overwhelming feelings, and the session allows you to meet other bereaved people and provide and receive friendship and support.

Offering a compassionate and supportive space, you are welcome to share as much or as little as you wish. Anyone affected by grief is welcome to join our Bereavement Support Groups, regardless of when their bereavement occurred.

It’s free to attend for everyone, including those without a patient connection to St Barnabas. No booking is required, and free onsite parking is available.

What is a Wellbeing Centre?

The St Barnabas Wellbeing Centres are a base in the community where patients, their families, friends, and carers can attend medical appointments, counselling and bereavement support, and wellbeing services.

These are modern, friendly spaces where local people can find support. The centres host support groups, creative wellbeing groups, informal drop-in coffee mornings, along with other types of social events where everyone is welcome to have a chat and meet new people.
