Skydives 2024

Jun - Sep 2024Hibaldstow Airfield

Event time: 12pmParticipation cost: From £85

Imagine this… You’re sitting at the edge of an open doorway, with your feet dangling below you, you look up and see the clouds above. You’re in an aircraft flying at 15,000 feet. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go – falling forward into the clouds below, skydiving down through the air as you start free-falling at over 120mph, looking down at the beautiful countryside!

We are working with Skydive Hibaldstow to give you the opportunity of a lifetime, something that is not only fearsome but something that is new and exhilarating.

Make 2024 the year where you tick skydiving off your bucket list and help raise money for people living with a life-limiting or terminal illness across Lincolnshire. Whether you want to fulfil a lifetime ambition, jump in memory of a loved one or push yourself out of your comfort zone, we are here to help every step of the way.

Skydive Hibaldstow (Available dates: 8th June and 8th September 2024). You will need to arrive at 12noon and should allow approximately 4 hours for this experience.

How much does it cost?

This exhilarating, once in a lifetime experience is £85 to register! All we ask is that you fundraise a minimum of £395 for St Barnabas.

  • The full expense for the skydive, including fundraising is £480. Of this, £229 pays for your skydive jump costs. The remaining minimum £251 sponsorship will go directly to patient care and support.
  • We do offer a self-fund option for the skydive at a cost of £229 to yourself. All we ask is that you fundraise a further minimum £251 in sponsorship which will go directly to patient care and support.

How will we support you?

Once you are registered, we will support you all the way up to and including the event itself. Not only will you receive your own cotton St Barnabas t-shirt to wear on the day, you will also be invited to be a part of our ‘Challenges with St Barnabas!’ private Facebook group where you will be able to meet likeminded people and talk about your challenge.

A fundraising page will automatically be set-up for you, and we will provide you with hints and tips on how to maximise your sponsorship while taking on your very own St Barnabas Skydive.

How will your support help us?

Your sponsorship money will make a real difference to patients and families across Lincolnshire who are living with a life-limiting or terminal illness. Your fundraising will help to ensure that St Barnabas Hospice can care for more patients and families near you, every day of the year.

By way of example, every £19.93 raised will enable one of our nurses to provide one hour of specialist at-home care to a patient living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
