St Barnabas ‘Take Me Out’
“Let the boogie see the Woogie”
Friday 15th February – Lincoln Performing Arts Centre, Brayford Pool, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, LN6 7TS
7:30pm
‘No Likey, no Lighty’ – St Barnabas’s very own take on the number 1 hit TV show
Will they find Mr or Mrs Right?
Join us as 28 lucky hopefuls take to the stage in St Barnabas Hospice’s very own version of the hit TV show ‘Take Me Out’ event on Friday 15th February. Help cheer the brave lads and lucky lasses on as our very own ‘Cupid’ – DJ Flip stones steers romance to the next level.
Our event won’t feature the famous ‘No Likey, no Lighty’ but will instead feature balloons. If a balloon pops, then the fun for the man on parade stops. The lucky couples who find their dream date will be whisked off for an all expenses evening at Lincoln’s very own isle of ‘Nando’s’ on the Brayford Pool. 20 hopeful girls and 8 brave men have signed up for their chance of finding Love and it’s all in aid of your local Hospice.
Nando’s are kindly supporting the event, offering you the chance to win some amazing Nandos prizes on the night! Plus Barci Nando’s mascot will be making appearance on the night.
So c’mon “Let the boogie, see the woogie!” tickets are on sale now from www.stbarnabashospice.co.uk £7.50 in advance, £10 on the night.
And to make everything that little bit sweeter, all money raised from the event will go directly towards patient care. All St Barnabas services are free of charge. St Barnabas care for over 5,600 to patients and their families living in Lincolnshire with a life limiting illness
Quote from Becky Otter – Events Fundraiser
“Take Me Out is most people’s guilty pleasure; I thought it would be a fun way of raising money for the hospice and to target a different audience. We are following a similar format to the popular TV show, but will feature balloons instead of the ‘No Likey, no lighty’ It’s going to a great fun filled night. Host DJ Flipstones will be playing cupid. Nando’s are supporting the event with lots of Nando’s goodies for you to win on the night! So c’mon let the Peri see the Passion and come and watch the number 1 Passion enthused event in Lincoln this year – it’s a night not to be missed”

Lantern Walk of Remembrance
Help raise funds for St Barnabas Hospices through our Lantern Walk of Remembrance.
On Saturday 16th March, we are holding our first Lantern Walk in Sleaford. Starting from St Denys Church Rooms, we will be walking a figure of eight route around the area, allowing people to choose to walk either 2.5 or 5 miles.
The walk starts at 6.30 pm and we ask if those participating can raise sponsorship money for our hospice services.
Event Fundraiser, Chris Fox says “The Lantern Walk is a great way for people to remember passed loved ones who have been looked after by St Barnabas. I shall be walking in memory of my Gran who died just over a year ago. I am hoping that people will join me at this event, not only to raise much needed funds for our hospice work, but also to share in celebrating the lives of our patients and the 20 years of dedication from our nurses and volunteers in the area.”
This event is open to anyone of any age, as long as under 18’s get their parent or guardian to walk with them. Registration costs just £5.00. Upon registration, walkers will receive a map of the routes and a sponsorship form. You will also receive a lantern on the night of the walk, plus a commerative medal, hotdog and a drink at the end of the walk.
The money we raise in your area will go towards providing palliative care, free of charge to the people of Lincolnshire, through our Inpatient Care, Day Therapy Service, Hospice at Home, and Family and Carers Support Service. We raise and spend over £3.1 million a year on palliative care services for the people of Lincolnshire, having a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of terminally ill patients and their families.
Places are limited and early: “registration is recommended. For a registration form or further information, please call Chris on 07918023908 or email chris.fox@stbarnabashospice.co.uk.
