One lucky player will win the top prize of £3,000, with further prizes of £1,000, £500, £300, £200 and 5 prizes of £100 available.
Tickets are available to purchase via the St Barnabas Hospice website for just £1 each. With ten prizes up for grabs, there are even more chances to win.
Wendy Cundy, St Barnabas supporter and latest raffle winner, says: “Winning the top prize in the Summer Raffle was astounding – I never win anything!
“I have donated to St Barnabas for many years, but consistently since my Dad received first class care from the Hospice in 2008. After a brave two-year fight with Oesophageal cancer, he was cared for at the St Barnabas Hospice Inpatient Unit in Lincoln, where he sadly died at 72.
“I will always remember we accessed this care due to other people’s donations, and I want to make sure the same support is there for other families.”
With every £1 ticket you buy, you will be directly contributing to the funding of St Barnabas’ vital services across Lincolnshire. Buying a book of 20 tickets would allow the team to feed a patient and their family a 3-course dinner during their stay at the Inpatient Unit.
Wendy continues: “It is really humbling to see the amazing way the St Barnabas staff care for the individual and their family at a time of immense stress and heartbreak. For the last five precious days of his life, he actually rallied and enjoyed some homemade soup and delicious biscuits!”
Rosie Eida, Staff Nurse at the St Barnabas Inpatient Unit, said: “We are continuing to experience spiralling costs of running our Inpatient Unit, Wellbeing Centres and Hospice at Home care.
We need to fundraise over 7 million pounds each year to provide people with compassionate care. A single ticket costs just £1, and each one purchased will help us to continue this vital care.”
Winter Raffle tickets will be on sale until Wednesday 26th March and the draw will take place on Monday 31st March. Winners will be notified by the St Barnabas team.
