Thank you to this year’s corporate supporters of our Moonlight Sleepwalks

11th March 2013

We are pleased to announce our annual Moonlight Sleepwalks have just opened for registrations online over the weekend but they wouldn’t be possible without the support we have received from local businesses and we’d like to say a huge thanks to Western Power Distribution, Ambitions Personnel, G4S, Wright Vigar, Ringrose Law and Hodsgon Elkington have all made donations in support of the event. In addition we owe a great deal of thanks to the Lincolnshire Cooperative Society and Brakes for donating refreshments and Running Imp for providing an inflatable gantry for our Lincoln walk. Also supporting us are Harpers in Market Deeping of which we are very grateful.

Michael Clarke of Western Power Distribution spoke to us about why they chose to support the event this year

“The work that St. Barnabas Hospice does for people and their families in Lincolnshire is so valuable and we are very pleased to be supporting the St. Barnabas Moonlight Sleepwalks, as the walks raise huge amounts of money for the charity and is a wonderful series of events that the local community can take part in and enjoy.”

Back by popular demand for 2013 is our annual Moonlight Sleepwalks. In its seventh year we invite you this summer to join hundreds of inspirational men and women taking part in our Moonlight Sleepwalks across the county in aid of St Barnabas Hospice. Last year we saw all sorts of nightwear being donned from the traditional striped pyjamas to a variety of onsies ranging from animals to funky patterns, whatever takes your fancy!

Lincoln’s event is the first of the four, happening on Saturday 15th June, commencing and ending at Yarborough Leisure Centre. The walk is approx 10km and encompasses a route through the City and back up past our Hospice finishing back at Yarborough for your commemorate medal and of course a nice breakfast bap and hot refreshment awaits you.

The event is open to all adults and children aged between 11 –17 year old but they must be accompanied by a guardian who is taking part in the walk.

Registration for the events will be open from the beginning of March with an early bird special price of £8 per adult & £20 per family until the 1st May, thereafter the prices will be £12 per adult and £25 per family.

Whatever your reason, to get fit, for fun, or to remember a loved one, join us in your PJs for a night to remember.

If you’d like more information or to register visit the Events Calendar or contact the fundraising office on 01522 540300 or email [email protected].
