Local independent charity calls for the local community to join them at their outdoor fitness and wellbeing event

On Saturday 9th July, from 9.30am – 12.30pm, St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice will be hosting a sponsored yogathon in the grounds of Stoke Rochford Hall in Grantham.

The event has been organised in partnership with local yoga teachers Stefan Cunnington and Sarah Tite. Stefan will be guiding guests through the program to achieve a full 108 sun salutations, whilst Sarah will offer participants a more gentle approach.

Stefan said:

“We will keep a flexible approach to the event with some adaptations and plenty of breaks for those who may be new to this type of activity. It would be great to see some new faces along this year and as always, I’m very pleased to support this worthy cause.”

The sponsored yogathon will take up to three hours to complete and people of all yoga abilities are encouraged to take part.

Janie McCormick, Event Organiser for St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, said:

“Each year our yogathon has grown in popularity and last year we raised an incredible £2,000. I’m very much looking forward to this year’s event in such a beautiful setting and hope to raise even more money for hospice care in Grantham.”

Registration for the event is £10 per person and includes a picnic lunch, on-site mini sports massage, free bottled water and refreshments on arrival.

Participants are asked to sign up online at https://stbarnabashospice.co.uk/yoga16 or call Janie McCormick on 01476 591010.
