St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice joins AGA in Lincoln to cook up a three course Sunday lunch for thirty guests

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice is partnering AGA on Outer Circle Road in Lincoln to turn their showroom into a pop-up restaurant on Sunday 9th October at 1pm.

Guests will be treated to a three-course Sunday roast cooked by AGA demonstrator, Penny Zako. In 2011 she won the title of ‘Britain’s Best Starter Dish’ after appearing on ITVs Britain’s Best Dish. Penny has cooked for Michelin awarded chef John Burton Race and at The Savoy Hotel in London.

Thirty guests are invited to enjoy a three-course lunch and pay how much they think the meal is worth. All proceeds will be donated to St Barnabas Hospice.

Becky Otter, Events Manager for St Barnabas Hospice, said:

“I am delighted that AGA has chosen to support the hospice in this way. Penny is an avid supporter of local produce and specialises in developing seasonal recipes with the best of British ingredients. An AGA is perfect for cooking a good old Sunday roast for all the whole family to enjoy.

“The menu sounds delicious and guests will enjoy Quenelle of fresh and smoked salmon pate served with Aga salted croutons followed by Roast beef joint, roast potatoes a medley of carrots, peas and shallots, sautéed winter greens, Yorkshire pudding and gravy and finish with Meringue trifle all cooked using local ingredients”.

Liam Sampson, Lincoln Store Manager for Aga, said:

“We wanted to support a local charity who we respect for their passion and professionalism. Several members of our team have been touched by the tireless work that St Barnabas do in our own community.

“Everybody talks about food and Sunday lunch is the perfect time for family and friends. A pop-up restaurant is great way for us to help raise some money for St Barnabas, we have the space and the expertise to present an event that will hopefully raise a good amount of money and live long in the hearts, minds and stomachs of everyone who attends.”

To book your place, guests are required to book online at www.StBarnabasHospice.co.uk/aga and pay a £5 deposit.
