Local independent charity gets a boost of over £14,000 from their sixth annual It’s a Knockout fundraiser

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice has raised over £14,000 from their It’s a Knockout fundraiser which saw 118 competitors go head to head on the inflatable obstacle course.

Twelve teams took part in the family fun day which was held on Sunday 10th July at Washingborough Playing Fields.

Becky Otter, Events Manager for St Barnabas Hospice, said:

“I am absolutely delighted to announce that this year’s It’s a Knockout is a record breaker, raising £2,000 more than last year! I am absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of money this event has raised to help support hospice care services across the county.”

Teams from Audi, Diane Genders, NMB Minebea UK, Salon Two, Jacksons Buildbase, Cooke and Mason and Nurses from Lincoln County Hospital battled it out on a giant inflatable obstacle course, filled with bubbles and water

Becky said: “We are already planning next year’s It’s a Knockout which we are hoping will be even bigger and better than this years, although we don’t have a definite date yet.

“My sincere gratitude goes to everyone who took part in the games and to everyone who came along to show their support. A huge thank you also goes to our generous volunteers who gave up their time to ensure the success of this event.”
