St Barnabas Hospice have recently hired a Challenge Events Fundraiser to help people wanting to do something extraordinary to fundraise

Mike Pastor, the new Challenge Events Fundraiser at St Barnabas Hospice, has organised a whole host of challenging events for the more daring supporters to raise money.

A range of challenges have been added to the St Barnabas events calendar this year, including: a China Trek, Wolf Run, London to Paris Bike Ride, Skydives, Snowdon by Night, long distance running and the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Mike said:

“I’m delighted to have taken up this new role at St Barnabas, and have been working hard to add some more challenging events to the calendar.

“From running, hiking and cycling to jumping out of a plane, we are hoping to give people the chance to face their fears, take on a new challenge or show off their skills all in the name of charity.”

The full list of 2018 challenge dates is as follows:

Whichever challenge you choose to take on in support of St Barnabas Hospice, Mike will be there to support you the whole way with training plans, a discount card for your gear, a St Barnabas t-shirt, posters, advice and more.

For the more challenging events such as skydives, treks and London to Paris, there will also be support teams on the day to make sure you stay safe and to help you with any queries.

Mike said:

“If you’ve been thinking about trying something challenging for a while, why not make 2018 the year that you take the leap and get booked in?

“We will either finance your trip/race outright, or provide discounted entry. All we ask in return is that you do your best to fundraise for us!”
