My wonderful Dad was a loving and caring Dad and Grandad. His birthday was a week before Christmas. We always made it special for him with it being so close to celebrating Christmas. He felt he missed out when he was younger! We always had a family get together - a birthday tea on the 18th December. When we were little and later when our children were small we knew it would be a week until Santa would have visited. I have wonderful memories of my Dad. He is deeply missed every day. Happy Christmas my darling Dad. Forever in our hearts.

Every life deserves to be celebrated

As you can see, St Barnabas offer a lots of ways for patients’ families to remember a loved one such as our online tribute pages, walking with us at the Torchlight Procession each Christmas and our Ironwork display. We also have reflection space available in our Inpatient Unit gardens and therapeutic outdoor space in our Wellbeing Centres, where families are welcome to use to reflect and remember loved ones

One of the most personal ways to honour a loved one is to share a few words that capture who they were — a memory, a quality you admired, or simply their name. Whether it’s a single sentence or a heartfelt message, your dedication becomes a lasting tribute.
