Bike legends rev up support for Lincoln charity!

3rd January 2014

TWO legends from the world of motorsport are revving up support for a Lincolnshire charity.

As part of Foggy and Whit: Givin’ It Gas, the 2014 UK chat show tour, which visits the Lincoln Theatre Royal later this month, four-times World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty and his good friend and former British champion James Whitham have committed to raising funds for St Barnabas Hospice.

The event will feature a charity raffle and the chance to win some amazing prizes.

The top prize on offer is a once-in-a-lifetime flight on James’ private plane!

There will also be an opportunity to win tickets for a round of the World Superbike Championships, and signed merchandise.

Carl and James are set to appear at the Lincoln Theatre Royal on Thursday January 16.

Carl said: “We try to support a different local charity on every leg of the tour.

“The people at St Barnabas Hospice do some amazing work and we couldn’t think of a better cause to get involved with.

“Our aim is to raise as much money as we possibly can through the charity raffle and hopefully highlight the charity’s good deeds in the process.

“Whit and I are really looking forward to coming to Lincoln as part of our 2014 tour. This is the first time we’ve brought the show to Lincoln so I hope everyone is ready for some banter.”

St Barnabas provides specialist palliative and end of life care for people with life-limiting conditions.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “We’re really pleased that Carl and James have chosen to support St Barnabas Hospice.

“We hope the night is a real success and obviously the more people who support the raffle, the better.”

The Foggy and Whit: Givin It Gas UK tour is going to the following venues: Norwich Playhouse, Jan 14; The Corby Core, Jan 15; Lincoln Theatre Royal, Jan 16; Leeds City Varieties, Jan 21; The Place Telford, Jan 22; Bristol Old Vic, Jan 23.

On-stage chat and questions will last around two hours, followed by the charity prize draw and a chance for autographs from Carl and James.
