Become a Friend of St Barnabas

Help support us with a monthly gift

Round here, local really means something. It’s neighbours who know how we take our cuppa. It’s shop owners on first-name terms with our dogs. It’s people showing up for each other when it matters most.

And for over 40 years, St Barnabas has been doing just that.

By becoming a Friend with a monthly gift, you can help us look after local families, so that expert hospice care stays close to home.

Why become a Friend?

At St Barnabas, we see the person, not just the patient.

For Sarah, that meant understanding that she was a mum first. In our hospice, her children could step back from being carers, organisers and worriers – and simply be her children again.

That’s what your regular gift can make possible. Helping us look after the big stuff, so families can focus on the little things that mean so much.

Look after your local

“We were able to spend one last Christmas Day as a family. We laid presents under the beautiful tree, played music and ate a Christmas dinner. They made us feel at home again and made us back into a family.”

In our hospice, Sarah’s children could step back from being carers, organisers and worriers – and simply be her children again.

You can help families stay families

£6 a month
could help answer an hour of calls to our bereavement helpline, giving someone a listening ear when they need it.

£15 a month
could go towards an hour of expert end-of-life care in someone’s home.

£30 a month
could help towards the everyday costs of keeping our hospice running and our doors open for local families.

£50 a month
could help support a specialist hospice nurse for three hours.

Over the course of a year, your support adds up, helping us plan ahead and be there for families when it matters most.

Your friendship helps us plan ahead

We never know which local family will need us next. But knowing that Friends are in our corner each month means we can plan ahead and be ready.

It costs around £40,000 every day to keep our hospice services running.

By becoming a Friend, you can help make sure expert, compassionate care is still here for whoever needs us next.
