Course Overview

This two-day workshop encourages participants to reflect on the importance of communication when supporting patients and families facing palliative and end of life care. Using experienced actors, simulation and role play, delegates practise challenging conversations within a safe learning environment.

The course also explores workplace stressors and coping strategies to support staff wellbeing while improving communication confidence.

Both clinical and non-clinical staff who have contact with individuals living with life-limiting illness. It is also valuable for professionals such as HR staff who may support employees experiencing serious illness or bereavement.
