Rudy’s Run

Rudy’s Run is an annual festive fundraiser that brings together children, teachers, and families in support of your local hospice. Get ready to run, walk, dance or prance your way around a fun-filled event for all ages – while making a real difference in your community.

Looking ahead to the festive season, St Barnabas and Rudy are inviting schools’, nurseries, and clubs across the county to take part in our joyful Rudy’s Run.

By taking part, you’ll be helping to provide essential care and support for local people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families.

What is Rudy’s Run?

It’s a fun and festive way for children to support their local hospice – pupils and teachers take part in a sponsored walk or run or join in by dancing or prancing.

Taking part is free, simple and easy to organise. We simply ask that each child taking part raises £3, which will help to raise vital funds for local people and their families.

By taking part, your pupils will:

  • Support local hospice care and help families in your community.
  • Learn about kindness, giving back, and community spirit.
  • Celebrate the festive season in a fun and memorable way.

How does it work?

Once your school, nursery, or club signs up, we’ll provide everything you need to take part: Rudy’s accessories, letters to send to parents, an assembly video, fundraising tips, and an activity pack filled with festive activities.

We know how busy school life can be, so Rudy’s Run is designed to fit easily into your timetable. Hold it during PE, playtime, or a time that suits you. It can take place on a date of your choice at any time in December.

On the day of your event, gather together and get into the festive spirit. Run, walk, or skip whatever distance you choose. There’s no set distance – just choose a route around your playground, field, hall, or local green space. Most importantly, have lots of fun!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at fundraising@stbarnabashospice.co.uk or call 01522 540300.
