Tree-Cycle

Make a difference this January with Tree-Cycle – the simple, eco-friendly way to dispose of your Christmas tree while supporting St Barnabas Hospice.

Our friendly team will take care of your tree in the most sustainable way, meaning you don’t need to make a trip to the tip or spend time vacuuming needles out of your car.

By booking your tree collection and leaving a donation, you’ll be helping us provide exceptional care for people across Lincolnshire who are living with a life-limiting or terminal illness. All our services are provided free of charge to patients and their families, and every contribution makes a real impact.

Corporate Volunteers for Treecycle

How does Tree-Cycle work?

We team up with local businesses to offer an easy, eco-friendly way to dispose of your Christmas tree while raising vital funds.

To guarantee collection, you must leave your tree in a visible location outside your property. Our volunteers are unable, under any circumstance, to enter your property (e.g. house, back garden, shed etc). Please note that we are only able to collect trees 6ft and under. If your tree is over 6ft, you will need to cut it down.

We are happy to collect multiple trees from households, businesses, hotels and more. We kindly ask that you ensure your donation reflects this.

We partner with several wood chipping companies who kindly chip unpotted trees. Wood chippings can be used for biomass boilers, bedding for farmyard animals, for use in agricultural fertilisers, or they can be turned into mulch for gardens.

Tree-Cycle is always a great couple of days for us — we really enjoy it. Driving around Lincolnshire collecting Christmas trees lets us see different areas and meet people we might not normally see. Supporting this appeal is great for our social media, it helps us support a great cause and gives us a lovely opportunity to interact with St Barnabas.

Make Your Tree Go Further

By taking part in Tree-Cycle, you’ll not only be helping the environment, but also making a real difference to the lives of patients and families across Lincolnshire.

All we ask in return is that you make a suggested donation of £22 per tree, to help us care for our patients living with life-limiting and terminal illnesses across Lincolnshire.

Don’t forget – you can add Gift Aid to your donation to boost your fundraising at no extra cost.

Together, we can turn Christmas trees into care, compassion, and lasting support for those who need it most.
