Clinical and non-clinical training

Using experience and expertise rooted in hospice care, we have developed educational training programmes to provide personal, learning and development for clinical and non-clinical organisations. Many courses available are tailored to support those caring for or supporting people affected by life-limiting illness.

Our programmes are designed to meet the needs of a range of healthcare staff, both registered and unregistered. However many training courses are suitable for non- clinical services such as HR departments, solicitors and funeral directors.

We take pride in using multiple teaching methods inclusive of all learning styles,. This is including but not limited to problem-solving, case studies, simulation, activity-based learning, lectures, seminars, peer learning, quizzes, debates, reflection and games.

One of the things I enjoyed most about my experience at St Barnabas is the sense of community, and the supportive, uplifting environment

Everyone works in a team, really listening to patients’ concerns and empowering them. I noticed quite a big difference compared to hospital care. I really enjoyed seeing the spirit that St Barnabas brings.
