Our care and support

As we reflect on the past year, we must also be honest about the challenges we face. The costs of our care continue to rise, and the financial pressures on our charity grow ever more difficult.

Our priority is not expansion, but sustainability – ensuring that future generations can rely on the same compassionate care and support that families receive today.

St Barnabas has been part of the Lincolnshire community for more than 40 years, and with your help, we will continue to be here for many more. But we cannot do this alone. Every donation, every hour of volunteering, and every act of fundraising helps us weather these challenges and secure our future.

To everyone who has supported us – thank you. Your generosity and commitment make everything we do possible. By standing with us now, you are helping to protect a vital service in our county. Together, we can ensure no one in Lincolnshire faces life’s most difficult moments alone.

Ron & Maxine's Story

“Like many people, I never expected I’d need a hospice. When I was diagnosed with a rare lung condition in my early fifties, I was told I might have just five years left – at best. Eleven years later, I’m still here. But without St Barnabas, I think it could have been a very different story.

From the moment we walked through the door, we felt part of a very special community. They offered so much – tai chi, relaxation classes, wellness, sessions to help with sleep, even singing classes! And it wasn’t just for me, my wife, Maxine, was welcome too.

I don’t think people realise just what the hospice does – not only in those final days but long before that. Getting in touch with St Barnabas was the best thing I did. The team were always there and I can’t thank them enough.”
