A message from our Chief Executive, Chris Wheway
From modest beginnings in 1979, when a small group of passionate people came together to create a local Hospice, St Barnabas has grown into one of Lincolnshire’s most valued charities.
More than 40 years later, our mission remains the same: to ensure that people with life-limiting or terminal illnesses can live as fully as possible, and that those closest to them feel supported every step of the way.
Today, thanks to the dedication of our staff, volunteers and supporters, we offer free, high-quality, compassionate care to over 12,000 people every year. From our Inpatient Units and Wellbeing Centres, to the comfort of people’s own homes, we are proud to provide comfort and dignity across the county.
Like many charities, we are operating in a time of great financial pressure. Rising costs mean that every decision we make must consider sustainability. Despite these challenges, our commitment to care has never wavered.
This Impact Report shares the difference your support makes – in the lives of patients, families and carers across Lincolnshire. Together, we can continue to build on the vision of those who first opened our doors over four decades ago.
