About this Young at HeART sculpture

We have chosen to have Our Lady of Lincoln, Mary, at the centre because she takes care of us all, like St Barnabas takes care of people who are poorly.

There is a box at Mary’s feet to invite people to take a prayer or a quote from the Bible to make people feel better and let them know that someone is thinking about them. It is important to us that people take a kind message away and we want to spread God’s word and kindness.

We have the Cathedral on the back of the heart because this is a Holy place in Lincoln and a place that hears prayers every day. Lincoln Cathedral is special because it can be seen all over Lincolnshire, and we were inspired by our recent trip where we saw the statue of Mary and how it made us feel.

We chose lots of blue and yellow colours because these are Mary’s colours. and we think this will help people feel loved and special.
