The Young at HeART Educational Trail

The Young at HeART Trail was our most creative and engaging mini trail to date!

This was a collection of sculptures made by students of nineteen schools and nurseries, which helped young people understand the importance of supporting local hospice care. The Young at HeART Trail also provided a great collaborative educational art project for young minds.

The Trail ran alongside the main HeART Trail at the Waterside Shopping centre.

 

A Heart shaped sculpture, created by school children. This Heart depicts the rural heritage of Lincolnshire, complete with farm land, tractors, and farm animals. Include at the apex of the sculpture is a steampunk inspired top hat, with the Red arrows flying out of the heart.

A chair made out of wood, with a heart and the back board for the heart. Either side of the chair are angel wings. The Heart in the centre, features the St Barnabas Logo, and images representing Lincolnshire's agricultural and engineering heritage. On the Chair reads the inscription 'Sam', in memory of a former teacher who died whilst receiving St Barnabas care.
