About this Young at HeART sculpture
The Ling Moor Primary Academy sees itself as a family built on the shared values of Wisdom, Curiosity, Generosity, Courage, and Passion.
Over the last five years, Generosity and Passion have connected the school to St Barnabas, its charity partner. St Barnabas have done so much caring for members of the Ling Moor Family, so this felt like a natural connection.
This heart’s design is based on that shared partnership and collaboration. A woven heart made from recycled lost property (those jumpers that didn’t find a home and were beyond repair) shows the school’s commitment to Lincolnshire.
The reverse is a celebration of the values and their connection to the charity. Woven and painted by the children, sprinkled with a little Fairy workshop magic, the heart also captures the joy of shared endeavour and community working together.
