About this Young at HeART sculpture
The students of Corringham C of E Primary School worked on this heart as an after-school project, with many children submitting designs including the Lincoln Castle and Cathedral which became the foundation of the design.
As the school is based in a farming community, the design includes agricultural elements such as a tractor to reflect the school’s surroundings and a sign for the Lincolnshire Show, as this is something the children take part in every two years with a school trip.
An important feature of the school’s nearest town, the Gainsborough Old Hall is featured along with the Red Arrows who the students often see when they play on the school field. A bus of children is also incorporated into the design, to demonstrate the heart comes from their school.
A little imp is also hiding in the design, can you find him?
