Karen Chambers – There are no words that can describe the past few months as we make sense and come to terms with the loss of a most beautiful and brave lady at the age of 47 years. We lost dad in September whilst he was on holiday with my mum in Crete. We lost him so suddenly and far too soon. A kind, gentle and hard working man and the best dad you could ask for. We all miss you so much. We’re all looking after mum, don’t worry. We hope we continue to make you proud.

We have lost our dear Grandad Cavill at 93 this year. But due to COVID restrictions we didn’t get to say our goodbyes. He said many times he was ready to be in heaven with Grandma Cavill which brings our family peace. I’m hoping he will be up there this Christmas making everyone his Christmas cake and having a pint.

My friend Brigitte is from Australia and visited Lincoln every two years when she came to England for a holiday she was very dear to me we met on holiday in Whitby in 1997 and wrote to each other sadly on my birthday this year she passed away aged 66 I’ve just found out from a family member. Brigitte thank you for many years of happiness and our strong friendship I will treasure it forever. God bless you my dear friend xx

This is the first Christmas without you here with us and so much has already happened since you left us in January. I now have a beautiful baby boy who’s 8 weeks old who you would’ve absolutely adored.
It makes me so sad knowing you’re never going to meet him but I know you’re here watching us both.
