Remembering a very special mum and dad in our hearts you will always stay and we think of you everyday. Christmas is a special time of year for families and you will be with us all this Christmas as your light shines on the Christmas tree. We shall put our Christmas tree up and put your special lights on and your grandchildren will do the same. As we decorate the tree we shall tell your great grandchildren how special you were and tell them stories of the happy Christmases we spent with you. As silent night plays I will shed a tear as I remember how you both peacefully left us and the light turned out, now I see your lights shinning on the Christmas tree and I look at them with a smile. Lyn and I didn't meet until our mid-40s and it turned out we had less than 8 years together, 4 of which were in the shadow of cancer until she passed away in November 2016. But in those 8 years she made me the happiest man in the world. We were married in 2011, just over a year before her diagnosis after which we still made the most of the time we had remaining. She never complained, never sought pity and a lot of people didn't even realise her situation until the last months when she had to give up work. The St Barnabus Hospice At Home team were the greatest source of help and support in that final period, and the day centre were too before and, for me, after that. I'll never be able to thank them enough.

My husband was the kindest and gentle n man and greatly missed by all the family – even our great grand children who were 4 and 5 when Bill died ( they are 8 and 9 now still talk about him and they hope he is looking down on them .

Lovely kind gentleman. He worked so hard for his family all his life and is greatly missed by us all.

Our first Christmas without you! You were always at the very centre of Christmas celebrations, making it the most magical time for everyone! How will we ever do it without you? My mum was a loving mother, mother in law and nana who is missed so much. My mum dedicated her life caring for us all and for others as she worked caring for the sick and elderly. St Barnabas hospice looked after her in her last few days which was greatly appreciated by us all. Please keep up the great work you do everyday. Love to you all this Christmas time xxx
