My mum was a very special lady who lived her last months with the same peace and humour which had accompanied her throughout her life. I miss her every day and I know Christmas will be a little less merry without her, but I am lucky to have many very happy memories which keep her with me always.

Remembering my sister, Carol, and dad, Tony. Thinking of all the happy Christmases we have had together, and new year celebrations, particularly in York, which were Carol's speciality. Remembering Ben as we approach his first wedding anniversary and our first Christmas without him. We miss hearing his laughter and his positive approach to life. I feel so incredibly blessed to have so many special shared family memories.

My mum passed away from cancer in spring this year aged 70 years old. I miss her dearly and am still rather shocked she is not going to be here this Christmas. She was a fantastic dancer and used to be a go go dancer back in the 70s. As she got into her 60s she started doing ballroom dances and going to dances every weekend. She loved dressing up in fancy outfits (usually a charity shop bargain). My children will miss their little nanny this Christmas. And I will miss my mum. My son (age 3) thinks she's gone to the moon. ???? From there she can watch over us.

The hospice at home team were amazing at supporting my father in law in his last weeks, and allowed the family to spend that time together at his home. His grandchildren would like his light to shine on the tree of life this Christmas, as he was such a big part of all family festivities and was the ‘real’ Santa to all who knew him.

Our last Christmas with my daughter was amazing, we had just all been to Disneyland in Paris came home Christmas Eve and still even though she was so ill she smiled.
My Dad was always one to join in the craziness of Christmas.
They are both missed and loved
