To my wonderful Dad, your smile always lit up any room you walked in to. I won't ever forget our fun holidays together and all the adventures we had. You always managed to calm me when I shared my worries and fears with you. You were the eternal optimist and I can still hear your voice in my heart giving me advice when ever I'm troubled. You wasn’t just my grandad you was my dad and my best friend. I wish you could have met Freya and I wish I could call you and tell you all about her and our life. This lady was a student of mine and I remember her coming to Class along with several of her neighbours in Bailgate. Philly always had a smile on her face. I will always remember her fondly.

How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

I miss my beautiful daughter Lesley everyday, and always donate to Light up a Light and raise funds by holding a coffee morning. Lesley always enjoyed her weekly trips to St. Barnabas to socialise with other people in a similar position to herself. Her last few days were spent in St. Barnabas where she had tender loving care. My only child she left met the best legacy of all – a wonderful grandaughter and grandson. I now have 4 great grandchildren and I know Lesley would be so proud of them all. xxxxx

Christmas wasn't a time dad was fussed about but he always made an effort. Asking what meat I wanted from M+S then saying it must be bloody good at that price ha ha. A walk and drink in weatherspoons and coconut talc and liquorice was always wrapped up as a gift ❤️ Memories are forever in my heart.

Dear Daddy, your golden voice will ring through the ages and your music will touch many more hearts to come. We miss you immensely and may your tenor voice be ringing out true and clear wherever you are. I love you Daddy.
