We have lost our dear Grandad Cavill at 93 this year. But due to COVID restrictions we didn’t get to say our goodbyes. He said many times he was ready to be in heaven with Grandma Cavill which brings our family peace. I’m hoping he will be up there this Christmas making everyone his Christmas cake and having a pint.

Remembering our Christmas' spent together. Knitted jumpers, toys, and toilet roll holders! Family Boxing Days at Auntie Doreen's. Nativity plays, paper hats, Christmas crackers, and Christmas dinner with those alone at Burland Court! Getting tipsy, Mum's infamous sherry trifle, Dad washing the Christmas pots! He was always so kind and calm and passed away last November at St.Barnabas Hospice. I loved him so dearly, we wrote to each other regularly, he is greatly missed by myself and his grandson Ethan.

Tonight is dedicated to 3 extremley special people who have been taken by such a cruel illness and only my Uncle having the wonderful experience and care provided by the Hospice.

Mum lived all her life in Nettleham and did flower sales in support of St Barnabas. She passed away at the hospice in January 2022. She lived Christmas and her family and is sorely missed.

Thinking of Kenneth, my dear friend Leftheris’ father. Thank you for the support you gave him and his family. He was a man who was unique. He made me welcome in his home and has clearly touched the world with love and some special wonder which is clear from his beautiful and giving family. May he sleep well. Love Alexia and Emma-Anne xx
