Christmas was always Melvyns favourite time of year so it’s a special time for us as a family. After nearly 19 years we still miss and love you.

This will be my first Christmas without you mum. Dad it will be the 11th. I promise to carry on your traditions for your grandchildren and I will always remember books don't count. Love to you both always and forever Mandy and Sally xxx

Remembering my daughter Sandy, mother Judith and brother Jamie. Always forever in our hearts. Until we meet again.

My beloved mother-in-law Pam was the most generous woman. We miss her everyday. Every Christmas she spoiled us with gifts and more food than we could eat. This will be our 2nd Christmas without her but we'll cherish our memories of her.

We will be thinking of you as always this Christmas. It is the first Christmas that our family is back together in your old house, so it will bring back so many happy memories. You will both be missed, especially Grandad’s jokes and Grandma’s mince pies and trifle!

The hospice at home team were amazing at supporting my father in law in his last weeks, and allowed the family to spend that time together at his home. His grandchildren would like his light to shine on the tree of life this Christmas, as he was such a big part of all family festivities and was the ‘real’ Santa to all who knew him.

Miss you Dad more and more each day. There is a big part of my heart which you held, that can never be filled. I'll always remember the childish playfulness we had and always getting told off.
