I will always remember his loving and caring personality

Remembering a very special stepdad at this time of year, we think of you everyday and you will stay forever in our hearts. This will be the first Christmas without you and it won’t seem right not writing and sending a special Christmas card to you. Your light will shine on the tree and bring us comfort as will the light on our Christmas tree. As we decorate our tree we shall be remembering you with loving affection and although it will bring a tear your light will bring us comfort. My amazing mother and the best Nanna died suddenly of cancer last December 2022. We will miss her dearly and she will always be in our hearts. Two weeks later her best friend, Philippa who she called her sister died of cancer too. Two most amazing people are still together x we love you x

We have lost our dear Grandad Cavill at 93 this year. But due to COVID restrictions we didn’t get to say our goodbyes. He said many times he was ready to be in heaven with Grandma Cavill which brings our family peace. I’m hoping he will be up there this Christmas making everyone his Christmas cake and having a pint.

My Dad loved Christmas! He loved the parties and the presents; he always watched everyone else open theirs and kept his in a pile next to him to savour. He was an incredibly generous man and always made sure everyone who knew him had a treat at Christmas time. This will be our sixth without him; we all miss him very much.

A true family celebration and special times spent together. All that's left are memories.

Dad was cared for by St Barnabas inpatient unit for just over 3 weeks this year and they did a fabulous job to make dad comfortable and pain free as per his wishes. Also doing all they could to involve us during the pandemic. Dad lived in Lincoln all his life and memories with him will always be in our heart. Lighting a light for him will light up the memories we have of him, especially being the first Christmas period without him.

Benjamin, you are in our hearts forever, we miss you so very very much so much more than words can ever say.

The most gentle and generous man who I was lucky enough to live with. So many memories but I loved bringing your lunch to the fields when you were harvesting and sitting with you in the sunshine. We are looking after Gran for you and miss you everyday xx
