My amazing grandma and great grandma always loved to be put in the garden. Weather it would be picking up the weeds, or planting shrubs, they were always busy and so very proud of their gardens. Many lovely memories I have of Tony. One of them was when he was sat outside the front door admiring the garden in the sunshine when a baby bird landed on his head. He couldn't move for ages. I don't know who was more stunned him or the bird! He so loved nature and to us it was a happy event. I smile thinking back on it.
