Brewster Partners are delighted to be supporting St Barnabas Hospice to recruit a number of new Trustees to strengthen their existing Board.

St Barnabas Hospice is the leading charity in Lincolnshire providing palliative and end-of-life care to adults living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.

The hospice opened over 35 years ago and with more than 80,000 people have received free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support across Lincolnshire

The job

As a member of the Board of Trustees, you will be responsible for working with the Chairman of the Board and other trustees to oversee the affairs of the Hospice to ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted practice.

The role of a Trustee is to be a ‘critical friend’ to the hospice and along with the other members of the board ensure that the hospice continues to provide the support and care to the people of Lincolnshire with the Values at the core of every decision made.

We are interested in hearing from future Trustees with any skillset but particularly:

IT
Retail
Clinical (including all areas of clinical support)
Digital Marketing

You will need to be able to commit to attending 4 full board meetings a year and 4 sub committees. There will be an expectation that Trustees will also attend events as a representative of the Board.

The person

St Barnabas are looking for new Trustees to add value to the Hospice and the patients that it cares for, as a Trustee you will be personally rewarded by seeing the value that your contribution has to the Hospice.

You will ideally operate at a strategic level and have the time to commit to the role along with the ability to converse at all levels internally and externally.
