We have a vacancy for a Palliative Care Coordinator to work as part of the Palliative Care Coordination Centre (PCCC). The PCCC is the single point of access for St Barnabas Community Services. You will work as part of a team using a telephone network, bespoke computer database, alongside other IT applications. You will be required to liaise directly with NHS, voluntary, private sector care providers over the telephone in order to arrange packages of care for palliative patient wishing to remain at home.

Qualifications and Experience:

Applications are welcome from candidates with an education to GCSE standard at grade C or higher, in at least Maths and English or NVQ/life skills equivalent and be computer literate to CLAIT / ECDL standard or equivalent, with proven administration skills and experience of working in a multi- functional office environment involving regular coordination and liaison with people (e.g. experience of coordinating meetings, training sessions or social events).

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hrs, worked on a rota over a 7 day period - 08:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and weekends /Bank holidays

Note: Due to covid-19 the department is currently working from home for the foreseeable future.

Salary: £18,925 per annum, £9.71 per hour (plus weekend unsocial hours enhancement of 30% and contributory pension scheme or continuation of NHS pension)

Buying and selling of annual leave and lease car schemes are options available to qualifying new employees.
