Wing Walk 2022 – Get involved and help celebrate our 40th Birthday

By working alongside The Wing Walk Company, we are able to deliver this fearsome yet exhilarating opportunity of a lifetime! Make 2022 the year where you tick wing walking off your bucket list and take on a challenge for St Barnabas Hospice in their 40th year of providing care and support to the people in Lincolnshire who need it most!

Who can wing walk?

• You must be aged between 18 and 80.
• The maximum weight is 85kgs (13st 4lb). On the day of your flight you will not be able to take part if you exceed this limit and there will be a £200 re-booking fee which would be payable by the individual signed up, not St Barnabas Hospice.
• You will be required to sign a declaration of fitness at the briefing.

If you suffer from high blood pressure, epilepsy, fainting, blackouts, dizziness, heart or lung disease you cannot participate. If your medical condition is being managed, you may be able to participate and should discuss this with your GP/Consultant and provide proof of this before you fly.

What does it cost?

• £850. Of this, £390 pays for your wing walk costs.
• The remaining  minimum £460 sponsorship will go directly to patient care and support.
  By way of example, every £14.02 raised will enable us to provide one hour of specialist at-home care to a patient living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
• You may choose to cover the £390 wing walk costs yourself. Meaning 100% of your  £460 minimum sponsorship target will go directly to support our hospice care.

Once you are registered, we will support you all the way up to and including the event itself. Not only will you receive your own cotton St Barnabas t-shirt to wear on the day, you will also be invited to be a part of our ‘Adventure with St Barnabas’ private Facebook group where you will be able to meet likeminded people and talk about your challenge.
