Lincoln

Event time: Doors open at 7pmParticipation cost: Tickets starting at £22

Following three previously sold-out performances in support of St Barnabas Hospice, the world-famous Morriston Orpheus Choir is making its return to Lincoln Cathedral in March 2023.

As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, the Choir will be performing a series of traditional and original songs.

The Welsh Male Voice Choir was set up in 1935 when its membership mainly comprised of manual workers, most in the steel or allied industries, living in or near the town of Morriston in the lower Swansea Valley. Throughout the years, the Orpheus has grown to enjoy an international reputation as a leading exponent of male choral singing. It is in constant demand, performing around 25 engagements in the UK annually, as well as undertaking performances on television, and performing at national and promotional events.

Over the years, the Choir has performed for members of the Royal Family, as well as the Pope, and many other high-profile music lovers. In addition, the Choir undertakes performances on television and several of their albums have won prestigious awards, including the Music Retailers’ Award for Best Choral Record of the Year three times.
