Colour Dash at Home

The Colour Dash is back for you to enjoy at home!

We know you will be disappointed that the Colour Dash Fest was cancelled this May, so we have come up with a great way for you to #getmessy for hospice care at home…

Pick any day in July or August, dress in a white t-shirt and brightly coloured accessories, and complete your own 5k fun run with your family. You could even join up with another household as long as you follow the social distancing guidelines!

If you are able to, why not hold your Colour Dash at Home event on our official Colour Dash at Home Day? We would like as many people as possible to come together on Saturday 22nd August and hold their fun run events.

When you get home, celebrate in the garden with your own personal PAINT PARTY! Our family tickets come with coloured paint powder packets – simply decide the quantity you would like when signing up. We will also send out free medals for each child in your group (children are classed as age 5-15). Decorate your garden, bring out the face paints, turn the music up and enjoy a brightly coloured picnic. Make sure to tag us in your photos and see if your friends and family would be up for sponsoring you too. Rainbows are particularly poignant right now, so use #getmessy and share your photos filled with all the colours of the rainbow for us to see!

We are asking you to raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship money per family as you undertake this fun run. This money would fund three bereavement support sessions to help someone who is struggling to cope with their grief. Click here to set up your JustGiving page and click here to download a paper sponsorship form.

We host the Colour Dash event annually and are happy with the knowledge that this product is not harmful to the environment. The paint we use is non-toxic, a non-irritant to skin and conforms to EN-71-3 Standards. For added protection we recommend you wear sunglasses when throwing paint. Whilst our suppliers can confirm the paint is safe for use for human runners, St Barnabas Hospice do not advise the use of paint on or near animals. Please click here for the full safety document.

PLEASE NOTE: Each family booking must have at least one adult and coloured paint powder must only be thrown on your own property or somewhere you have gained permission.

The family who raises the most amount of sponsorship money for their Colour Dash at Home fun run will win a FREE family ticket to our Colour Dash 2021 event at the Lincolnshire Showground! Make sure to share your JustGiving links with family and friends. The winner of this competition will be the person who raises the most by Monday 14th September 2020.

When planning your at home event, we would be grateful if you could allow two weeks for paint and medals to arrive due to current postal delays.
